Here are some tips for lighting and maintaining your candle:

• Before lighting your candle for the first time, trim the wick to 1/8” – 3/16”. This ensures that the wick is not too long and can pull up the wax, allowing it to stay lit.
• Light the wooden wick from the edge and watch it catch fire.
• During the first burn, make sure to burn the candle until the very edge, forming a full melt pool. This will prevent tunneling and ensure the longevity of the candle.
• Burn the candle for 2-3 hours each time it is lit. This helps the candle burn evenly each time.
• Use a snuffer to extinguish the flame.
• Before each consecutive burn, trim off the burnt end of the wick by holding it upside down and pinching off the thin end, not the entire black portion. This ensures that no debris from the wick goes into the wax, resulting in a clean burn each time with a trimmed wick.
• For safety measures, never leave a burning candle unattended. Only burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface and keep it away from anything that can easily catch fire.
• To preserve the scent of the candle, store it in a dry, cool environment and keep it away from direct sunlight.
• Stop burning the candle when there is 1/4” of wax left in the vessel. You can then clean and repurpose the glass vessel however you’d like!
